Scholarships for Grande Ecole students
HEC Paris is an open and dynamic school which values social and cultural diversity. Moreover, the HEC Foundation has launched a support program which aims to help talented students during each step of their academic studies.
Funding for CROUS scholarship-holders on the Grande Ecole program at HEC Paris
Since 2009, HEC Paris as well as the HEC Foundation have promised to fund a (full or partial) scholarship to cover the state-scholarship holders’* (CROUS scholarships based on social criteria) tuition fees.
- Each year, 20% of students benefit from funding (including partial and full scholarships based on the CROUS grading system).
- 208 students benefited from funding in 2015

« ”The grant that I received from the HEC Foundation allowed me to
undertake my studies with peace of mind, knowing that I wasn’t weighing financially on my family. In my turn, I hope one day to be able to help other students finance their studies and achieve their goals. »
Social grants are available for students who are not eligible for the social-criteria based scholarships from CROUS. Students can request for their tuition fees to be waived by completing a form provided by HEC.
Excellence scholarships are offered every year. They are reserved for those who hold a non French Bachelor’s Degree and who are enrolled as a first year master student at HEC Paris. They are also reserved for certain second year students on the Grande Ecole program.
- 159 international students received an excellence scholarship in 2015
Funding for studying abroad
In order to promote university exchanges abroad, the HEC Foundation also funds Grande Ecole students who experience financial difficulty.
- 41 Grande Ecole students received a grant to study abroad in 2015
A partnership has been set up with Banque Populaire to supplement the scholarships on offer from the HEC Foundation. Students are able to benefit from a 0% interest rate loan without the need of a guarantor.
- Since its launch 2014, many Grande Ecole students have benefited from the partnership
